California Credit Union seeks funding for innovative teacher projects

LOS ANGELES, March 16, 2021 / PRNewswire / – California Credit Union Invites All Los Angeles County teachers who have an innovative classroom project idea to apply for a grant from a credit union as part of its biannual teacher grant program.

The California Credit Union program is available to full-time teachers Los Angeles and Orange County or members of credit unions teaching in California who are looking to fund special classes and / or virtual learning opportunities for their students. The project should have clearly defined learning objectives linked to the academic needs of the students, be creative and benefit a significant number of students. Ten California Credit Union Grants $ 500 each will be assigned to teachers in the region in May as part of the spring program.

Since the inception of the program in 2012, the California Credit Union has awarded $ 125,000 in grants to teachers for the benefit of students Southern california. Schools benefiting from last year’s program used the funds for STEAM engineering and robotics programs, a survival book and supporting technologies and tools for virtual learning, home science kits, an initiative school-wide mosaic tiles and sensory bins for students with special needs, among many others.
