Last week, Lee battled the illness before the live episode, and after apparently giving all she could in her dance, she had to leave the stage to throw up as Farber faced the judges on her own.

She returned to the stage later that night in a resilient performance to pick up bonus points with Farber. The two advanced to establish a perfect score on Monday.

“It’s been a tough week,” Lee said on the show’s pre-recorded segment, showing a preview of his rehearsals between episodes. “I’m probably going to have to delete all of my social networks for this.”

When Farber asked him why, Lee explained that negative comments about his dancing were reaching him on social media. Farber has pointed out that she is out of her comfort zone, while in the world of gymnastics her talent has always shone.

“Since I’m not the best at it, I feel like they’re right,” Lee said.

Instead, she concluded that she was at peace with the hard work she was doing during rehearsals and said that no one would take the pleasure of being on the show away from her.

Skeptics will have little room to harass her after Monday anyway.

Lee and Farber blocked the noise and ended the night with a better-than-perfect score: a sensational 42 of 40 that propelled them to the semi-finals.
