It is January 6 and it will be the first time in the history of our country that this calendar date will have real meaning. Sadly, this meaning is only dark and disturbing, as it is one of the most shameful days in American history. And the Simpsons faked it a quarter of a century ago.
On this first anniversary of January 6, 2021, we realize that this calendar date will now resemble September 11 or December 7 – days that live in infamy. These are three specific days in which America was attacked by vicious and desperate enemies, clear in their intention to shed blood. But a year ago that call to take on a human life came from inside the house.
Thank you for the file, which generates a lot of clicks towards my article on the Holocaust museum.
This should increase the number of visitors to the museum and help spread their message further.
Be proud of the role you have played! https://t.co/UfGpV3Fd8Y

While the grunts, which worked at the grassroots level of this national terrorist network, were largely brought together and subjected to the judicial process, the ringleaders were not. Worse, they are still in power in the United States Congress!
Beyond that, the propagandists who created and broadcast The Big Lie suffered no repercussions.
They are still there, spreading dangerous misinformation and disinformation.
Webster’s defines “moron” as “a stupid person”.
Maybe you’re right.
Or maybe the Fulbright scholarship and MBA I got are right.
I don’t know, since you are such an awesome and brilliant human being, this is a really hard call https://t.co/T72ltBm9Rz

I’m currently in a Twitter fight with one of them, at Sebastian Gorka.
Why a man with 1.1 million Twitter followers who was appointed to the US Department of Defense by the 45th President of the United States feels the need to stay engaged in a Twitter beef with me all week is beyond my comprehension .
(But then again, I was also blocked on Twitter by Meghan McCain and Dana Loesch, so I have to do something right).
This is not “a museum”, you crook troll sympathizing with the Nazis.
It is an amazing, uplifting and emotionally powerful museum, and I encourage everyone to visit it.

Gorka, who has deep ties, dating back at least a generation to a group adjacent to the Nazis, was President Trump’s deputy assistant and counterterrorism expert. Yet I find it extremely easy to overcome in debates on historical and socio-political issues.
Scary that such an unimpressive man, all around, has reached such a high position in our national government.
Again, Gorka should have better things to do than get rid of me on social media, as he is currently suing to prevent his cell phone records from being subpoenaed by the January 6 committee. As we do when they have nothing to hide and are completely innocent of any wrongdoing.
Attorney General Merrick Garland says more than 725 suspects have been arrested in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia in connection with the Jan.6 uprising. The Justice Department claims it will be the largest investigation of any kind ever.
However, they only catch the snake’s tail; they are far from the head.
“You know, we have thoughts and prayers, in eight different ways,” Jon Flannery, former federal prosecutor and special adviser to the Senate Judiciary Committee, said in The News with Shepard Smith tonight.
Capitol Rioter Jenna Ryan compared the attacks on her as people calling her “Uprising Barbie” to the treatment of “Jews in Germany”
Why do these right-wing Nazis always downplay the Holocaust? https://t.co/fGAkiUd3Hr

“But we have no action. It’s a year later… and nothing has been done for the people who planned it and took advantage of it… ”
I couldn’t have said it better myself. Garland has vowed to prosecute all of the January 6 perpetrators, but we must move forward to bring the top of the food chain to justice, not just the bottom.
Yes, there was literally a shirtless jerk in a Viking helmet growling strange noises in the upper chamber of Congress a year ago today. He got his, just like robbing the podium guy and putting his feet on Nancy Pelosi’s guy’s desk. (His photo actually prompted a major foreign newspaper to run a headline, “Who’s the Banana Republic Now?” And it was a slam we absolutely deserved.
Then you have the woman titled Barbie Rising, well, Jenna Ryan is a lot of stuff, but she sure doesn’t look like Barbie. The Texas real estate broker, who has posted all of the crimes she’s committed and brought them as much attention as possible on social media, is currently in federal prison.
Okay, so they rounded up the morons at the bottom of the pyramid, but….
Senator Ted Cruz is still in power, but at least today, finally, he has called January 6 a terrorist attack on the capital. So he’s upset now, but he’s still the man who gave the most patently harmless speech ever while trying to be a badass, exactly one year ago. He always helped encourage it, and he has to pay for it.
Lauren Boebert (who tweeted the Speaker’s position in the midst of the insurgency, has shown support for the coup before, during and after) and Marjorie Taylor Greene are still in the House of Representatives. Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan are going nowhere and have not suffered the consequences of their actions.
Then you have Mr. Fist-Pumpy Josh Hawley, keep an eye out for him because he’s potentially the worst of the worst of all. We will see why at the end.
The paradox of self-hatred
The vicious mob was there to hang Mike Pence and kidnap Nancy Pelosi. The noose was even constructed and publicly visible. Yet Pence still won’t give up on Trump or Trumpism. His political career is over and yet he still can’t say anything bad about his boss who literally tried to get him killed!
He’s like an actual version of the swamp castle lord in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, who told us “now, now let’s not bicker and argue over who killed whom”. But at the same time, Pence is dare I say a hero, just because he did his job.
He was sworn in to the constitution, in part because Indiana’s top Republican vice president Dan Quayle advised him to do so. Who knew, Quayle dare I repeat it as a hero.
The enemy boss level
Obviously, this is the Trump crime family, and it starts with the Don of the Clique itself. Don’t forget Don Jr. (who engaged in false badass postures) and all the betrayal trash he churned out at the Stop the Steal rally.
Other speakers at the rally like Rudy Giuliani (“let’s put trial by fight”) and Alabama congressman Mo Brooks (“kick ass and take names”) are still there walking among us, despite urging the treacherous crowd.
No responsibility now means they’ll try again
It all adds up to
1.an idea that if you don’t like the outcome of an election, don’t believe it really happened and instead fight to overthrow it
2. Another coup attempt, but this time the bad guys might win. If the first attempt is not properly punished, there is no way to deter another insurgency.
Hawley is the one to watch out for, as he’s just as amoral and self-obsessed as Trump is, but he’s not a total idiot like Mango Mussolini. Hawley won’t telegraph his every move like MAGA’s godfather and his army of idiots do. He is polite and media savvy.
An obvious spoiled and spoiled elitist kid, he’s shown he’s more than smart enough to play a down-to-earth man on TV.
Unfortunately, he is doing too. While the rest of Q-Anon, the Jan. 6 wing of the Republican Party are too dumb, bizarre, or have already been exposed as losers and / or fraudsters to lead the next treacherous insurgency attempt.
